Choreographer for the Los Angeles Lakers
Featured on America’s Best Dance Crew
Spoken at over 600 Schools Nationwide

Danny Batimana, aka “Cousin Danny,” is a Filipino-American-born former dance choreographer for the Los Angeles Lakers turned children’s education advocate.

Danny created Team Millennia™, a collegiate hip-hop dance team while studying Business Administration at Cal State University and later received his teaching credential at CSUF.

After teaching mathematics for eight years, he became the manager of the Poreotics Dance Crew (America’s Best Dance Crew Season 5 champions). Traveling the world with his dance crew and seeing the sedentary nature of kids led him to pursue his purpose through a movement called “Happiness is NOW.” The mission is to inspire kids to improve their physical and mental health, which, in turn, enhances their academic performance.

The Happiness is NOW Experience is in its 11th year of existence, and he has spoken at over 600+ elementary, middle, and high schools and conferences throughout North America.

SPEAKING TOPICS:

“Our students left the assembly feeling empowered, inspired, and happy!”
Dr. Estela Salas, Principal of Raymond Temple Elementary
“We brought in Danny, who shared stories centered on choosing positive behaviors, kindness, empathy, and mutual respect.  The stories were interspersed through the hour-long program of Danny dancing and teaching our TK-8 students (and teachers!) some awesome dance moves, with energizing music that had the children dancing with unadulterated joy and creating an almost magical sense of community connection.  To say that a good time was had by all would be a profound understatement!”
Rosalie Schneider, PTA Coordinator
“ Cousin Danny came to our elementary school, and our kids loved it! Both primary and upper grades were engaged throughout the show and heard the positive message of making good choices (including kindness to others) which translates to true happiness. ”
Shele Tamaki, Principal of Crescent Elementary
